Jerry co-founded Essex and its affiliates and has served as an officer and director since inception.

John Kattato

SVP Operations

John joined Essex in 2003 as a Regional Manager. In his current position, he is responsible for the direction of the operations team.

Yomara De Jesus

Regional Director Operations

Yomara joined Essex in 2008 in property-level operations and was later promoted to General Manager at one of our portfolio hotels. She recently joined our home office to lead our task force group implementing operational strategies and assisting with transitions.

Keith Shugerts

VP Project and Facilities Management

Keith joined Essex in 1994 and is responsible for coordinating all capital improvement projects, as well as activities related to the development and construction of new hotels.

Jonathan Clark

Director Finance and Accounting

Jonathan joined Essex in 2012 and currently oversees the accounting operations and financial reporting for the Company and the portfolio properties.

Anne Ferrari Mancuso

Assistant Controller

Anne joined Essex Hotel Management in 2021 and brings a wealth of accounting experience across a variety of industries.

Barbara primarily oversees business development and relationship management.

Chris Mellone

VP Operations

Chris leads the day-to-day operation of our hotel property teams. He started with Essex in 2008, serving first as a General Manager before joining the home office as Director Hotel Performance.

Cheryl Huhn

Director Revenue and Sales Strategies

Cheryl joined Essex in 2018 and currently oversees Revenue Management and Sales Strategies for our portfolio of hotels.

Bridgett Ellis

Project Coordinator

Bridgett started with Essex in 2007 and currently serves as a Project Coordinator. She assists Keith on projects related to the development and construction of hotels.

Controller

Kristen joined Essex in 2014 and currently oversees the accounting operations and financial reporting for the portfolio properties.

Genevieve Benware

Payroll and Operations Specialist

Genevieve joined Essex in 2014 in property operations and was eventually promoted to AGM at our Hampton & Suites in Lake Placid. She recently joined the home office, overseeing payroll and supporting the operations teams.

Richard Cambeis

Top Line Specialist

Rich assists the operations and revenue management teams to drive performance across the hotel portfolio. He joined Essex in 2013 as the General Manager of the award-winning Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Placid before joining the home office in 2023.
