Essex Hotel Management LLC has hired Christopher Wietig as its new director of business development, a newly created role for the company.
In his new position, Wietig will spearhead Essex’s efforts to expand its portfolio—aiming to meet the company’s stated goal of doubling its managed properties within five years—by identifying and securing new contracts with hoteliers seeking a hands-on, results-driven third-party management partner. His responsibilities will include driving portfolio growth, implementing advanced business development tools, overseeing contract negotiations and cultivating strong relationships with owners, investors and industry stakeholders.
